Luigi thanks for sharing the story and the recipe. Just finished eating too many of these with soft mozzarella and rucola. Can't wait to try with other goodies inside.

I enjoyed reading Luigi's story. My Italian husband has mentioned piadine in the past and was describing them. I believe his grandparents used to make something like this with chestnut flour and they ate it with proscuitto and mozzarella. I will definitely be making these now that I have a recipe. Thanks for sharing.

Putting on my Homer Simpson voice....Mmmm...Piadina...

One of my favourite snacks when I am on vacation in Gabicce Mare. My favourite type is with the strachinno cheese, salami picante, and rucola.

I really enjoyed reading about Luigi and am looking forward to more stories. I had never heard of "piadina", but I think I am going to try and make some because your photos look so appealing!
I have some prosciutto in my fridge that is just waiting to "jump in" the piadina. Many thanks for sharing, Patti.
