Tartine with tuna fish sauce

Tartine is the perfect appetizer for every occasion, loved by adults and adored by children. There are many versions of tartine from the most simple to the most fancy and refined ones. These particular ones are often prepared in our family and I can assure you once they appear on the table they’ll gone in minutes.
Ingredients:
20 slices bread
The sauce:
1 9 oz. can tuna fish
3 Tbsp. mayonnaise
1 Tbsp. milk
1/2 Tbsp. capers preserved in vinegar
2 little Italian anchovies fillets in olive oil
To decorate:
capers
pickles
small hot dog
black and green olives
mayonnaise
Instructions:
1. Blend the ingredients for the sauce with a hand blender.
2. Remove the crusts from the bread and cut the bread in half diagonally making triangles.
3. Spread the sauce evenly onto the bread.
4. Decorate the tartine first with mayonnaise on the borders. If you have mayonnaise in a tube it’ll be easier otherwise you can use cake decorating tools to apply it.
5. Add some of the decorating ingredients to the tartine, mix and match the ingredients as you like.
6. This can be served immediately, but I usually refrigerate it for an hour or so beforehand.
Notes:
I cut the bread into triangles, however any shape is fine. If you are making them with your kids try using cookie cutters to get different shapes. The sauce will make about twenty small slices of bread which makes forty pieces. This of course depends on how thick or thin you spread the sauce.
