Sedano col gorgonzola

Stuffed celery stalks

This is one of my favorite appetizer because I love gorgonzola cheese.

Ingredients:

4 crisp tender celery stalks
1/2 cup creamy Italian gorgonzola cheese
1 Tbsp. finely chopped walnuts


Instructions:

1.Trim the stalks and cut them into 4-inch pieces.
2. In a bowl combine the gorgonzola cheese with the walnuts. Stir the ingredients together until smooth and well blended.
3. Fill the celery sticks with the cheese mixture and chill before serving.

Notes:

This appetizer is very common in the North of Italy where this kind of cheese is produced. It has a particular flavor so before preparing this recipe I suggest you try it first.
