Filletti di sarde al forno

Baked Sardine Fillets

I really enjoy this when I can get fresh sardines.

Ingredients:

2 lbs. cleaned fresh sardine fillets*
2 clove garlic finely chopped
about 3/4 cup fresh chopped parsley
lemon juice
extra virgin olive oil
salt to taste


Instructions:

1. Mix the parsley and garlic.
2. Lay the fillets in a ceramic baking dish, skin side down if they have skins, and spread the parsley and garlic over them.
3. Drizzle with olive oil and salt.
4. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes in an preheated oven at 350 degrees F.
5. Remove from oven, sprinkle with fresh squeezed lemon juice and serve.

Notes:

Please note that in the pictures I made a half recipe.

*I usually leave the skin on them I just remove the bones.
